Control Transformer

MES Control transformers fill the size range from 12VA to 7500VA and up to 600volts. They are used to step-up or step-down the supply voltage for the operation of electromagnetic devices such as timers, relays, contractors or solenoid switches. Additional features of these transformer is to supply correct voltage during short-term periods of inrush currents, providing isolation to control components from power surges and lighting circuits.

LOW VOLTAGE DRY TYPE DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER
MES Dry-Type Distribution Transformer available in single-phase and three-phase rating. They are built in double-wound, self-ventilated and highly efficient with with minimum maintenance. Isolation Transformer
Increase safety protection and isolation from supply line transients.
MES Isolation transformers are built in double winding: seperated and isolated primary and secondary windings. They are designed to which reduce the effects of power Line problems like spikes, transients, surges and power-line noise, to a minimum. At the same time, the isolation transformer able to withstand the noise and other disturbing factors generated from a equipment. Electrostatic shield is added between primary and secondary winding to prevent any high frequency noise or signals from the incoming supply.

K-Factor Transformer
Withstand overheating effects caused by harmonics generated by non-linear loads.
MES K-factor transformers are designed to reduce the heating effects of harmonic currents created by non-linear loads. These harmonic currents causes overheating issues in the cable and induction motors, and increasing the losses in the transformers.
These transformers are capable of withstand the harmonic currents without exceeding the temperature rating of the insulation system. They also compensate for stresses on a transformer’s winding insulation which prevents insulation breakdown and premature failure.

Marine Transformer

MES Marine duty transformers are designed with dedicated windings to handle the mechanical and electrical constraints of on-board equipments. Auto Transformer

MES Auto transformers has only one winding. The transformer primary and secondary shared the common winding, voltage required is tapped out along the common winding. Therefore it reduce the size, weight and cost compared to an isolation transformer.An auto transformer are used when there is no required on electrical isolation between the primary power source and the secondary load. Motor Starting Transformer
Reduce mechanical stress and eliminate pressure surge when motor starting.
MES Motor Starting Auto Transformer with fixed tapings are used in Auto Transformer type of starters to reduce the voltage across the motor terminals while starting. This reduced voltage limits the in rush current and lessen the strain on driven machinery while starting the motor. For the same value of line current drawn during the starting period motors with auto transformer type starters deliver the maximum starting torque when compared to other type of starters.

Variable Transformer

TDGC2 / TSGC2 variable transformer is an single winding transformer. It consists of a single layer of magnet wire winding on the laminated silicon steel core. A carbon brush is connected as an output lead and able to be rotated and adjust the voltage at any turn from zero to the maximum output voltage of the winding.

REMARK
A reactor does not fix grounding issues nor does it provide isolation. Keep in mind that while a reactor provides some buffering, it does not provide isolation and cannot take the place of an isolation transformer.

During engineer on the faulty unit, we will improve the original design where possible and failure analysis will be submitted to you.
